NL Minerals Collective
The Newfoundland and Labrador Minerals Collective (NL Minerals Collective) comprises a group of prospectors, explorers and mining-industry experts partnering to market and advance their respective and collective properties and while doing so to deliver fairer value and better benefits to the members. Members are primarily focused on the mining-friendly jurisdiction of Newfoundland and Labrador. Participation in the collective entails a shared commitment to advocate for and endeavor to create an environment for mutual success by facilitating connections, awareness and a sense of community; striving to follow sustainable mining and exploration practices; championing diversity and inclusion in all aspects of the industry; and advocating for fairness and transparency with all involved parties when making property sales and partnership deals.
The collective provides a vehicle to better centralize, showcase and market the wealth of mineral claims assets and properties owned by the prospecting community.
Our vision is to help support the perspective of Newfoundland and Labrador as a friendly, leading jurisdiction in the mining industry, setting a high standard for responsible and sustainable practices that respect the rights and traditions of indigenous communities and the natural environment. We strive to create a positive and mutually beneficial partnership with all stakeholders, including local communities, government agencies, and indigenous groups, in order to foster long-term economic growth and development in Newfoundland and Labrador. Properties are available for option individually or can be bundled as larger land packages or zones. Joint ventures, partnerships and financing scenarios are also models of interest. what we do
Angie Stockley is a corporate development executive with over 25 years of leadership and consulting experience in mining, government, high tech, private sector and other industries. With her family, the Stockleys, Angie has been engaged in mineral rights acquisition and exploration for over 16 years, becoming more actively involved in the mining industry in 2020 as VP of Marketing, Corporate Development and Stakeholder Relations at SSAF Exploration (SSAF) and as the elected Diversity Director for the Newfoundland and Labrador Prospectors Association (NLPA) in 2023. Angie founded the Newfoundland and Labrador Minerals Collective (NL Minerals Collective) in 2022 to help fill a recognized void in the prospecting community for a vehicle to better centralize, showcase and market the wealth of mineral claims assets owned by the prospecting community.
Angie has led many successful commercial strategies encompassing partnership development, community and investor relations, lobbying, tradeshows, communications as well as M&A, joint venture and funding and grant initiatives.
Angie's co-founders in the NL Minerals Collective are Wayde Guinchard, Stephen Stockley and Mark Stockley. Additional key partners include Neil Pendock, Art Gardner and many other industry peers; parties either actively involved in prospecting and mining or providing goods and services to the industry.
Wayde Guinchard is a senior prospector with more than 20 years of experience leading prospecting projects in Newfoundland and Labrador. He is an active mentor to the Newfoundland and Labrador prospecting community and was a co-founder of the Newfoundland and Labrador Prospectors Association (NLPA). Wayde also has more than 30 years of experience in the banking sector. He puts to use his wide variety of managerial and financial experience, knowledge in the marketing and promotion of mineral properties and experience in the structuring of private prospecting companies both to further his own enterprises and to help the prospecting community.
Mark Stockley is CEO and Chief Prospector of Stockworks Exploration. Stockworks is a well- established prospecting firm serving the prospecting and exploration needs of companies throughout Newfoundland and Labrador. Mark has close to 16 years of experience prospecting on his own properties and leading projects for other junior and advanced mining and exploration companies. Mark also has a unique specialization in Newfoundland and Labrador gemstones and is an accomplished jeweler.
Art Gardner is the preeminent expert on gemstone prospecting in Newfoundland and Labrador, especially Newfoundland jade and Labrador sapphires. Art became interested in jade and sapphires after discovering some pieces of the precious stones while prospecting for other minerals. These first finds sparked a lifelong obsession with finding and collecting the gemstones. Art spends countless hours exploring remote regions of NL in search for Newfoundland jade and Labrador sapphires and has become an expert in the identification and grading of the gemstones. He is also an accomplished jeweler. Art's knowledge is highly sought after by his peers to whom he is respectfully known as the Newfoundland Jade Hunter.
Stephen Stockley is CEO and Chief Prospector of SSAF Exploration (SSAF). SSAF is an established family-owned prospecting group that controls in excess of 55,000 hectares and 40 prospective properties in Newfoundland and Labrador, including key properties in the Central Mineral Belt (CMB) in Labrador and the Central Newfoundland Gold Belt. These prospects host early-stage indication of base metals including Nickel and Copper; strategic metals such as Molybdenum, Cobalt, Uranium and REE; and precious metals of principal interest like Gold, Platinum and Palladium. Stephen has over 16 years of experience prospecting for SSAF and as project lead for other junior and advanced mining and exploration companies in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Dr. Neil Pendock is an applied mathematician and has been developing novel algorithms and associated software for the processing and interpretation of remotely sensed data for geophysics, hyperspectral core logging and remote sensing for more than three decades. He works with enterprises and organizations around the world to further mining data research and to advance mining exploration projects. This includes work with organizations such as the College of the North Atlantic (CNA) in Newfoundland and Labrador. Dr. Pendock is also a sought-after speaker at mining events around the world, covering mining technology and innovation topics such as "Exploration Undercover Using Public Domain Remote Sensing Imagery: The Use of Thermal Remote Sensing and Gas Estimation for Exploring Vegetated Terrains" as he did at the CIM Mineral Resources Review 2022 in NL.
